I just wondering, do you not have to use the machines anymore?  Do you not have sleep apnea, or did you used to have it, and then lost weight and no longer have it?  I use a C pap machine due to sleep apnea, but I hope to have surgery for weight loss and hopefully, I won't need it any longer.  Medicare pays for my machine though, so I didn't have to buy one.

Wouldn't the company that supplied the machine want it back, if I were not using it?

No  insurance  purchases them  and  they   belong  to  you  then .... If  you   were  renting  the  machine that  would  be  different  .  But  my  insurance  paid  100%  for  the  machine  then it  belong  to  me  ...

I think Medicare rents them - I am not sure.

My insurance company paid for mine. But before they would pay for mine the company they sent me. Had ones on there site where you could use it till the insurance pick up the price of a new one. I also asked my pulmonary dr if I could use one of my mothers one seeing. How she had a extra one on hand and was told no. Seeing how a trained respiratory therapists had to sit it at the setting. That I needed and not every one has the same setting as the next person. For example my mother is set at 18 and mine only has to be set on six. Plus it was explained by the insurance company if some thing goes wrong with the machine and it needs to be fix. They will charge to fix it seeing if I used my mother but if they bought it for me new they would repair it for free. Yes I still use mine and I lost half of my wt and was told a month ago. I will still have mine for the rest of my life. Taichi.(PS some insurance company due rent them until they know for sure if you will need them for a long time. I know my insurance company rented mine for the first three months and after that they paided out right for it)
