I'M almost 7 yrs out so my daily intake won't be the same as everyone else's.   Breakfast: 1 cup of peach yogurt with a few tablespoons of cottage cheese mixed in. 11 am snack: Cheese stick Lunch: 3 ounces of salmon - left over from restaurant the night before. Afternoon snack: couple pieces of beef jerky Dinner: 4 ounce steak, 1/4 cup steamed broccoli. snack - chocolate - couple pieces. I don't count it so don't know carb amounts, fat grams, calories but I eat about the same thing every day, and try to keep calories about 1200 daily and carbs under 50. I keep that in my head. Sometimes use fitday to see where I am.

I forgot to add 100-120 ounces of water daily and a couple cups of coffee.

Sounds like you are still making great choices at 7 years out.  I am not sure of the figures either but I think you have to look at where you are and where you want to be... Welcome Carla

I do feel back in control.  I feel really good and between these threads,  a friend who is walking/running with me and getting in control of the Carbs, things are falling into place.  Today I rewarded myself with soaking in the Hot Springs with my 10 year old and her friend.  I am thinking about trying that Pilates dvd sitting on my shelf, trying to get brave.  I lost another pound today.  Tonight I will be going to a culteral event that will give me a work out and I think I've figured out that if I go to sleep at night  instead of forcing myself to stay awake,  I am not tempted to snack!.  I do feel in control!

I am almost 7 1/2 years post-op and I have decided to post to be accountable  for my eating.  In my profile I tell about my journey to get on track to lose 42 pounds that I gained starting 3 years post-op.  So far, I have lost 27 of the 42 pounds I gained but I have never shared what my food intake is on a typical day. On Friday I had: 8:00   Coffee with Splenda and a little half-and-half 9:00   Breakfast :    Special K Chocolate Delight Cereal w/ 1% milk                                   Snack Size container of lite peaches  12:30 Lunch:          Campbells Select Wedding Soup                                    Garden salad with Light 3-Cheese Ranch Dressing.   3:30 Snack:             Mini-bag of Act II 94% fat free butter flavor pop corn.  6:30 Dinner:            Small piece of steak with mushroom and onion                                    Brocolli and cauliflower with small amount of margerine.                                     Snack size container of mandarin oranges and sf Jello 8:00 Snack             Cup of Honey Comb cereal without milk                                  1 contaner of Yoplait Light and Creamy yogurt. I also drank lots of water starting about 1/2 hr after each meal.  I try to drink at least 2 liter a day.  I usually take a multivitamin each morning with my bp med. I don't know how many calories this is or grams of protein or carbs or anything else.  I don't  measure my food either and am not following any specific plan.  I do what works for me and I'm not hungry between meals.

Well sounds like you are doing good and have a system that is working for you.  Great job on getting back on track and loosing part of what you've gain.  keep it up.  We are all captains of our own ship here and we may be on different paths or places in our journey.  Welcome aboard Carla
