Internal hernia and bowel obstruction

I have not had GB or any other abd sx but I have all the symptoms of an internal hernia.  I have been through all the same things that you all have from the "its in my head" diagnosis to "well the only thing on biopsy is gastritis so that must be it"  The gastritis/duodenitis hasn't resolved no matetr what or how much medication that I've been prescribed.  All the tests are"negative."  The pain used to come in episodes but now there's pain all the time, much worse with standing up any length of time,  and then terrible episodes.  ER was no help.    I try to keep myself going with humor so I laugh when I think about all the doctors who didn't believe me and say its in my head when my psychiatrist was telling me "Its not in your head! Find another Doctor!"

I am wondering if any of you know of a surgeon in Atlanta that hass dealt with internal hernias after GB because perhaps if she/he is more fsaamiliar with internal hernias he/she might understand better how to diagnose it or might be willing to do an exploratory.  Internal hernias without prior sx is very rare so I would like to see someone with more experience.  Please let me know.
