Single digit temps today with the wind chills of 30 below, brutal.  Wasn't it just a week or two ago it was in the 60's?  Now that is what drives ya nuts

Well yesterday I took my bar bell class in the morning and then last night took a Muay Thai class.  My first and it's a style of kick boxing.  When she had us doing lunges I thought I was going to die.  See I had done them in class with weights in my bar bell class.  My legs were screaming at me *^@#?<>_+}{!

I was going to get up and go to a pilates class this am and boxing tonight, but my body said   I am going to see how I feel tonight.


So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  We did it  Another week down.  For those that are just starting out, you didn't think you could do it but you did.  For those that this is routine, another week of staying healthy and feeling good.  For those that didn't go.  No problem,   Just get back up and start again, and again, and again.  We are  here for you always.

Have a kick a$$ weekend and if you are doing the football thing, make sure you have plenty of good food and jump up and down when the team scores and when they mess up, great cardio

I'm looking at that tredmill & it's saying "come on baby, you can do this. You really want me . I know" But no I don't want it. lol. Do you know what I really want? I want to be able to look at that tredmill & lose weight. Ya thats what I want. Do the instructions say that you really have to participate in the videos? Can't I jus****ch them? I plan on doing my strength training video before I leave my house or I can't go anywhere. SAYS ME!!

I got up at 6:00 AM for Aqua Jogging class for an hour.  11 degrees here this morning with dropping to -15 by tonight. Yesterday I did a personal Training DVD from Prevention toning for 30 minutes.  I am going to get in a cardio workout, toning workout and Pilates over the weekend, we have Monday off but I am going to Aqua Jogging class.  I'm working at being more consistant in my exercise regime. You bet I am doing the football thing.  That would be after the health club. Saturday the club has a pilates class I am going to get in on and I plan to get there on Sunday too but they don't have any classes on Sunday so I am on my own. The 26th I leave for Cancun and the resort does have a exercise room so I plan on doing the am walks on the beach, the water aerobics and some weighs in the room. This next week will be busy so I'm not sure what I will be fitting in and when. GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!!! Tmac backs da Pack.

Had to take the day off exercising today, as I got called in to sub at school, and my daughter was coming here for the wkend as soon as she got off work today.  So just no time.  She's got 2 friends' baby showers to go to tomorrow, so while she's gone, I'll hit the gym.   Muay Thai--never heard of it!  You are an exotic exerciser! Might not have a chance to check back in til after the wkend. Happy Active Weekend, Everybody!

Disappointed with myself ... I walked my mile then in the evening was just about the get on my stepper and hubbie pipes up 'you know that leaves a mark on the carpet don't you', and this is coming from the man who never removes his shoes and is always treading in dirt onto the carpet from outside!  Grrrrrr.....so I got in a strop and ended up not doing any on it. I'm going to either have to ignore him or find a solution fast as I want to get on them every day. Have a great weekend everyone

Hi Ruth, You can go to any sports shop and or Wal-Mart and buy a rubber mat to put under your equipment.  I did so for my treadmill.  They don't cost much and protects the carpet. When you buy it and put it down, just get on and start singing NA NA NA NA NA NA to your DH

Sorry, I have a question I'd like to ask... is doing 3 lots of 10 minutes exercise the same benefit as doing 1 lo of 30 minutes?  I guess what I'm really asking is that on my stepper I don't yet have enough muscle built up to stay on them continuously for 20/30 minutes, so do about 10 then rest for  a minute or two (only that long) then get back on them.  I am hoping by doing this I will increase the amount of time I can stay on them.  But am I fooling myself?

Hi Ruth, You are doing exactly the correct thing.  We all do this no matter what kind of exercise we are doing.  I may start out lifting a 5 lb weight 5 times.  Then try and work up to 10 times and then 15.  When that becomes easy then i will go up in the weight. So you will noticed when it starts to get easier and then you can stay on longer.  We advocate moving in any way possible.  So my friend, you are doing a great job! Take care, Kathy

I'm finally getting back to my exercise routine after being really lax during the holidays.  Today during my break I took a 30 minute walk in the tunnels that connecct all the buildings at our facility. I see a lot of my co-workers walking the tunnels also.  This is the best way to get my walking in when it's too cold to walk outside.  I also went to Curves after work for a 30-min workout.
