Friday weigh in
That is so great Dana.. I am so happy for you. I say go back to the basics.. I truely believe it works. 1200 cals a day, below 100/80 on carbs, below 60 on fat, and over 100 on protein. that way the body eats the fat instead of using the carbs to feed itself. It worked for me and all the people I know that use that formula. Congrats on your success.. you are doing so great.. only one way to go now is down down down. you can do it.

I too am getting back on track .Tomorrow I start the 5 DPT I have been out of control for the last month(dec)
Long story short for the last month (dec 8th -Jan4)I have been very stressed out with my hubby in the hospital(26 days during christmas)
from septic shock(almost died)but hes home now and doing better.better then myself.LOLhe's still on his antibiotics until next Tuesday. The doc says he's doing very well.Thank the dear Lord!
Anyway, out of control is eating carbs..no not cookies, chocolate not sugar...I grazed on crackers and cheese! before bed time....not drinking my water and not being aware of how much I was eating and chewing. The carb monster (thats so LOL) well it's here and wants more.I cannot give in to the monster anymore.I feel the difference.
Before this all happened I was 132 and loving the way I felt.however I didnt like how my faced looked so drawn.I would like to take my face now and be 132 with my body.LOl does that makes sense to anyone????My clothes felt better and looked better .
Now I am at 137 which really bothers me.Feeling like I am not in control bothers me.
the carb thing for me is in mind....but I feel the body craves it physically!
Tomrrow I am taking control and starting the 5 DPT and release those5-6 pounds !
I got my lowfat lowcarb protein shakes,SF jello and SF ice pops! Its back to basics for me!!!
I am going to take it hour by hour and keep myself busy.
Anywords of encouragement will help me.
Oh did I forget I am alos due for my period in a week! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
take care everyone and thanks for listening
ox,
carol
Carol I am sorry sorry to hear about the recent events in your life. The good thing is.. your husband is home, you see what you need to do to get yourself back to where you were and you are taking the needed actions to get there.
With this said... i commend you on your dedication to yourself and your DH. I wish you all the best and know you can do it. you prove that each day with all you have gone through and what you have suceeded in already.
Smile and know we all care.
Carla
Thanks!

Last week: 174
This week: 169. WooHoo, back to my lowest weight.
I had been in this bounce mode between 169 and 174 to 175 at times since August I think when I first hit 169.
I haven't had too many problems eating wrong, just kind of normal I guess and sometimes normal is too much for wls people I guess. I think my biggest thing was not drinking enough water.
I recently bought an elliptical for home, was just not getting to the gym enough either anymore and I thought this would help, no excuse if the machine is right there. So that exercise, increased water and adding back in a 2nd protein shake for the day finally the scales are going down!
Have a great weekend!
