5 day Pouch Test Question

Hello-- I am Dawn and l usually hang out on the December 2006 boards... but i have a question i am hoping you guys can answer...
I have been inspired to do the 5 day pouch test- but for those of you who did it, have done it, or are doing it......can we have yogurt on days 1 & 2 (like carb control yogurt) I would think that it would be much the same as the sf pudding..but wanted to see if anyone knew for sure......

HI Dawn, I just finished the 5DPT last week. I did see on the q&a that you can have yogurt on days 1 and 2. I had the vanilla Kroger Carb Master yogurt. The pouch test has done me a world of good. I've lost 7 lbs so far and I'm back on track and in control. I had, over time, lost some of the post-op eating habits (like not drinking with meals). I got back into the swing of things fast, and I really feel like I'm back in control of my eating habits.  Good luck!

thanks for the response--i think that the yogurt will help me a lot...whew. I am looking forward to getting back on track- for the same reasons that you mentioned....congrats on your success!

I see many references to this test, I'm assuming it is for RNY?  Mind telling me what it means? Thanks!

This is the link to the "test" --basically it is just a kick start..for those of us who perhaps have gone a bit wayward.......getting back to the basics. First 2 days are liquids only (protein shakes,clear soups, sf puddings, jello) Day 3 is soft proteins, Day 4 is Firm protein and Day 5 is solid protein....I have been on a "stall" for weeks now and i know that i could be doing better- so many folks swear by this so i am going to give it a try. I am not sure if it is only for RNY or not...
