Insurance, anyone know?

I am 8 years out with no complications. I am now in the position of having to privately purchase health insurance. Anyone have any experience with this? I have heard it can be very difficult. Anyone know of providers for us that are further out? Thanks for any info,

My daughter works for Humana health insurance. She tells me that they will accept new customers when their WLS was at least five years ago. She also warned me that self insurance can be difficult anytime after WLS because federal rules only apply to large groups over 100 people. That lets insurers discriminate with small groups. It is easier if you can find a large group to join thru your church, the local chamber of commerce or AARP, If not, check out Humana and see if you qualify. Good luck.
