Ok.. so I couldn't post til after American Idol was over.. yes.. I am one of those.. anyone else an idol fan.   Had a busy day but did ok with food.  I noticed I ate that cookie snack pack and the carb monster got me.. fought the rest of the day to keep it at bay.  Cookies bad.. Here was my day
breakfast:

Hi Carla, i guess i did good today. maybe the number for the carbs is too high. not sure. i think i ate good. i must be doing something right since monday i was 154 #'s today is wed and i am 151 #'s. i havent went to the gym since i have been working. i do get exercise at work since i am working at the hospital as a dishwasher and i have to run back and forth to load dirty dishes on and take the clean dishes off. so here is my day.. I had a support group meeting last night so of course I was skipping dinner. I scoped what my totals were before and decided that I could skip the beef jerky and go with some fiber and still stay over 100g protein. Fine tuning! Breakfast: Malto meal, soy milk, wheat germ, coffee (5:30) Snack: 1 cheese stick, apple and 19 gr protein bar (8:30) Lunch: 5 oz pot roast and a cup of carrots. added about a half cup of cooked cabbage. I had to split this in half and eat it in two sittings. So it was more like lunch and a snack. (10:30 and 1:30) Snack: V-8 juice (4:00) Dinner: 1 apple/dip package and 1 pk of SoBe Granola Clusters (5:30 pm) I didn't eat anything when I got home I had a cup of NSA Swiss miss and decaf. Also trying to cut back on the caffeine...MAN! THAT'S HARD.  Totals: Calories: 1544 Fat: 50 Carbs: 183 Protein: 106
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Well even without dinner you had a very nice day.  I love you got your veggies in with that V-8.  That is awesome.  Actually you are doing great in that area all around.   Good carbs are a good thing. See ya tomorrow Carla

Carla, yes I'm an AI junkie too, last night was pretty good over all though. Well Dana.. you had an awesome day.  the protein is right up there and all the numbers are in the right place.  Good choices for the day as well with no wasted calories.  You are working it now.. and you will see the results of your work soon. Keep it up girl. Carla

Yesterday was Day 4 of the 5 DPT for me.  I am so missing my veggies, and yes, I am so in need if you know what I mean ! LOL.  But, I think this test is a good way to refocus and stay on track.  I had been allowing too much flour in my diet. Yesterday I had the follows: Breakfast:  2 scrambled eggs with fat free feta cheese  (I only ate 1/2 of this) Lunch:   Broiled Salmon Dinner:  London Broil Night:  Protein Shake I have eliminated snacks and have been following the water rules.  I had to have the shake at night, I find I do better with 4 or 5 meals than 3 meals.

It is always better to do small meals than big ones.  It keeps that metabolism moving all day and keeps you from going through hunger pains.  I have snacks to augment my meals cause I know I would never get enough in if I didnt.  I try to do proteins only on my snacks. Nice day for you.  I hope you get veggies soon so you dont bind up to bad.  take care Carla
