Hypoglycemia - help
I hadn't slept the night prior but a couple hours then went to work again for 12 hours so even with that 5 hour "nap" i did not feel rested at all.. felt terrible actually.. always gives me head hunger and munchies but I still ate "right", I rarely go off my plan.. but I bottomed all day into the night and into the morning. I think I dropped 5 times.. it was hell (pardon my french) and it took way too many calories overall to get me back to baseline and I worry that this will have me gaining weight eventually.. argh.. again thank you.
Hugs, Melissa

Thank goodness I checked this out today! I thought I was going crazy! I am almost three years post op RNY and a facilitator of a local support group. I have been having issues of low blood sugar recently, and thought I was going a bit nuts, I am glad (sort of) that I am not the only one! I seem to be having trouble in the evenings, when I am done eating for the day. I have gained back 10lbs and have been trying to lose, I have upped the exercise and lowered the calories. Maybe I have lowered too much. I generally get about 85-100 gms of protein(all vegetarian) and 80oz.of water, I try to keep calories at 1100, but have cut back to 800 in an effort to lose. I do cardio for an hour 5 days a week and weights 3-4 times a week and have been stuck with this 10lbs for about 3 months, all of a sudden I have started with the low blood sugar. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks-Angela
