Hi there I just completed 5 day pouch test yesterday and dropped 10.2 lbs.  I made sure I got 100g protein and stayed around 30 carbs and did 100 oz water every day.  My pouch does feel much smaller, almost new again

How did you get in 100g of protein? Congrats on the weight loss.

On the liquid days I drink Muscle Milk light shakes - 160 cal and 20g protein each, had low cal soups with added scoops of protein powder. on day 3 - lots of tuna/salmon (3 oz servings hav 80 als and 18g protein each) day 4 and day 5 beef, chicken, supplemented with protein shakes It was very easy to get in the protein It was harder to get in all the water! Hope that helps

Don't weigh yourself!!!!!!!!! Give yourself a couple of days away from the scale.  Your body will probably release the fluid soon  and you'll have a great loss. Good Luck!

The point of the 5DPT isn't to lose weight, it's to kick the carb monster, shrink your pouch and get you back on track.  Getting back on track will help drop the pounds, even if you don't see an immediate result. I finished the 5DPT a week ago and am still amazed at how tighter my pouch is.  I've had a few carbs, but I still don't crave them like before.  I lost 5 lbs on the 5DPT and 2 more this week. So don't get discouraged!  Hang in there! Michele

Its the water that makes the difference!! the more ya drink, the more ya lose, and theres a lot of sodium in tuna! Remember, it takes a lot of calories to gain a pound, so if you didnt consume a lot, its fluid. Dont dispair, the body fluctuates. I didnt lose hardly any on the pouch rest,,but I lost inches and got rid of all my cravings. Now Im losing again like I should, a couple pounds a week. Hang in there,,it works. Blessings Betsy

Don't get discouraged!!! Don't weigh yourself everyday!!!  Increase the water and protein and watch you calorie intake.  Try to exercise!!!!  At least 30 minutes a day!!!  You can do it.  Go back to the basics.  I am fortuate because I kick edthe carb addiction and lost 8lbs in the midst.  I finshed the 5dpt on friday and I am doing really good now. The cravings have not returned!  Just don't give up!!!
