Hi Everyone Well we had some storms yesterday and last night.  We even had (not near me thank goodness) tornado touch downs.  This is just the strangest thing I have ever seen Needless to say, I didn't go to the gym.  Rocky and I did get out and walk before the storm****  The little guy was on cloud nine, he had to pee on every tree I had seen this guy on TV where he claims you can get buff by doing 12 sec exercises in a 20 set.  It was mostly core stuff but doing it V E R Y  S L O W L Y....  I pulled out my exercise ball and to my surprise I was sore this morning.  So if you do crunches...just do it very slowly by a 12 count, hold it and then a 12 count back down.  Do this with all moves and it really does burn..... So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on in and let's hear ya I so do appreciate it when you share with us what you are doing, how and if it's working.  We are all different and we have to try different things.  I have learned so much from you guys and try new things all the time. Enjoy the day and remember to stay Strong, Sexy and Sassy Take care, Kathy

I live in Wisconsin and we to had storms but not as bad and its still raining and gloomy out. I just cant seem to get motivated today, I think part of it is the weather, its been so foggy and dark out, plus I havent been sleeping well. Seems Ive had alot on my mind when I go to bed and  been having some nasty dreams which kinda stick with me through out the day. So needless to say no motivation ,no workout. But I did sit at my desk and got some loose ends tied up so maybe now I can get them off my mind and get a good night sleep. And if the sun would come out that would help also, Deb

Hey Debra, Been there done that  You may laugh, but this is what helped me through a tough time....  And they don't call me Drama Mama for nothing Try doing some  yoga an hour before bed.  It really relaxes your mind and helps with the stress.  I drink some herb tea as well.  You can buy some of those lamps that help with the lack of sun shine.  I have not done so but hear it really helps. Believe it or not, but you WILL feel better and be able to deal with your issues better if you work out.  It helps.  My fav is kick boxing.  Debra, when I get done punching and kicking the he$$ out of that bag, my problems are still there but I feel so much better and sleep better.... Try it, get a pillow and go for it You hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.  I honestly hope I see you post tomorrow that you beat the crap out of something and feel better for it.  An object, not someone's face Take care, Kathy

Kathy, thanks so much for your post, I dont know what the weather is like where you are but its been pouring rain here all day so far. I am going to try to get downstairs at  least do my 2 miles on the treadmill and lift some weights. I do have some kickboxing tapes packed away somewhere, by Billie Blank or something like that. I will need to get those out. Maybe a good workout a good healthy supper and a good nights sleep is what I need. This is what my head feels like today. I am going to be starting a new job on monday and I havent worked in 3 years. So needless to say Im a little nervous. I got a job as a teller at citizen bank thats about 15 miles from my house. I had also applied at the citizen bank thats only a couple miles away and after getting hired at the first bank the closer one called yesterday and wanted to hire me. So thats my dilema, so am waiting for a call from the human resourse department. I would rather work at the closer one but was already hired at the farther one. OH well im sure it will all work out. Again Thanks, Deb

Awe, but think about this  What ever bank you will be working at, you are going to be nervous but feeling so GREAT due to your new look and health  I was always so worried people were talking about me because I was the biggest person there.  And they were....I knew they would not be able to look past my fat body.  So you are going to go in there, looking Hot, Hot, Hot and feel good about yourself.  Look at what you have accomplished!!!!  Now a little old bank job is nothing compared to that Keep us posted on what happens ok? Take care, Kathy

Hi Movers, Yes, I was not far from the twisters yesterday and had alot going on.  Had to pick up my car from the shop, take down all the outdoor and indoor decorations b4 it freezes again and fold/put away 2 loads of laundry.  So no time for a workout Monday night.  I did get out Saturday and Sunday. Tonight I am going to the club.  Going to try 1/2 ellipical and 1/2 treadmill.  Also, I have done a little of core and arm work. Yay moment, today I put on a pair of pants that were skin tight b4 November 19th and was actually able to wear them in public, so somethings got to be happening. Help me stay strong gang, I want to make it to goal by April.  For me that really seems like a long row to hoe, but I really want to loose the additional 50. (Kathy, I haven't been on the scale for a bit, what do you consider fair, once a week, month, year? LOL) Got to keep moving if I want to look decent in Cancun in 18 days! Thanks for the support all, Tmac

Hey Tammy, You just answered your own question.  Use  your clothes to make yourself feel good about your goal.  That was an awesome WOW moment    And really not that long ago and through the holidays I might add Try not to look too far head....I took it 10lbs at a time.  If I had said OMG I have 200 pounds to lose I would have jumped off a bridge. Do you have your measurements?  Have the gym do a body fat count on you.  Use those two things to measure your success and then the scale last. If you get on the scale and don't like what you see and the inches and body fat is not going down, then we will see if we can try something different.  You know, keep the bod quessing You are doing great my friend!  Take care, kathy

Hey Kathy! You sure keep going no matter what the weather or anything throws at you!!! I did 3miles WATP this morning. My legs are a little bit sore from yesterday, but I held up pretty well. I think I won't go back to squats again tomorrow, will wait for Friday and just do my upper body weight workout tomorrow with cardio. It sure feels good to be back in the exercise game!! Thanks for your encouragement!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tracy, A good rule of thumb is wait until you are not sore any more then work that group out again.  I don't get sore until the second day from a workout.....  So I hit certain areas sometimes only once a week. You are ROCKIN girl and we are glad you are back Take care, Kathy

Kathy, You are just so sweet and inspiring to the rest of us.  I am just in awe of the workouts, and the success you have had.  I just looked at the pics on your profile.  We really do need to meet someday in person.  It seems we have mu*****ommon.  I am about the same age, was a little bigger than you when I started, and I love to bead.  In fact, I work at a small bead store a couple of days a week.  AND,  I grew up in Oswego, with a Plainfield mailing address.  All of my family has moved away from the area, so it has been about 15 years since I've been back there.  I here the farm area I lived in is now all subdivisions.  I can remember when the corner of highways 34&59 meet was once a four way stop with a couple of truck stops there.  Now it is a huge mall. I am still hoping to find a personal trainer sometime this year.  I told myself I would do it when I hit onederland.  I feel I need a trainer to help with the strength training.  The dvds I do here at home do well for the aerobics, but as much as I would like with the weights.   Now waiting on family situation to calm down a little. I did do a 2 mile WATP today, as I could feel some increased pain in my right knee after pushing the jogging yesterday.  I will be working early tomorrow morning, so I probably won't be reporting in here, but will be thinking about y'all. Debra, good luck with the new job.  I hope you get the one closer to your home. Debra M. still raining and warm in Michigan
