Do you ever sit and think..I am eating like a pig.  I gotta stop all this.  It's like my preception of what is a lot is totally off.. I was positive I way over ate today than I put the totals in on sparkpeople and I didnt eat enough.  How does that work. Well here was my day.
breakfast:

good morning, b..protein drink. l...tuna and 0.25 cup of rice. d...3oz of beef and 0.25 mashed potatoes. s..granular bar. i know my # are too low...busy monday. am prepared today. Be blessed.

I think that all the time, especially when I see folks who eat 2 tbl  of food and are full and I am sitting there eating a cup of something.... Then when I became a grad and started doing this with you, I realized I eat really good.. But I am asking hubby .. Do you think I eat a lot?  Cuz I still don't get it.. Hope today is good for ya !!! hey hey... good day again.. I know how you feel watching others eat.. I either watch the ones that ate like I use to and stand in amazingment at where they are putting it all or look at the ones that take a bite and say they are done..  Very strange goood all around day for you as always Carla

I have that happens to me all of the time.  It's amazing how this surgery screws with your mind.  I really don't know what is normal any longer.  One day I cooked fish sticks for my nieces and thought 3 or 4 per child was plenty.  I would cook more if they wanted them, but that I would probably have left overs as it was.  When my sister saw what I was cooking she couldn't help laughing hysterically because it wasn't nearly enough.

lol.. i know that one.. at first I way overcooked now I work on portions for them.. sometimes its not enough, but I am getting closer on that one... I am clueless now when I do things.. to much usually so I bought smaller bowls and plates to help me with my portion control Carla

Monday was a bit higher than I'd like, but Sunday was a bit low, so I figure it'll all pan out by Friday weigh-in! B- boiled egg, slice turkey bacon, and 1/4c cheese grits S- lite string cheese and tangerine L- jerk chicken breast and steamed cabbage S- Banana with cherry yogurt and lite whipped cream D- Homemade Beef & Broccoli and fried brown rice S #1- 1/2 turkey ham & swiss on lite bread S #2- 1/2c cranberry-pomegranate juice (this'll be daily for a while) 1419 cals, 44g fat, 155g carbs, 107g protein, 21.5g fiber 64oz water (how DO you do it, Debbie!)

Those rationalizations are good things arent they.  good protein and fiber day.. very nice... I am not sure how she does it.. i try and just cant get that high...lol See ya tomorrow Carla

Monday was the first day back to work: Breakfast: Malto meal with soy milk, banana and Wheat germ. 1 TBS Snack: V8 Juice, 12 oz. 1 oz Cheese stick, SoBe Protein Bar 10 gm Lunch: Left over Chicken Fricasse, 1 cup Snack: Home baked Protein bar Dinner: Pork Chop made in the crockpot w/ mustard sauce Dessert: 2 SF Fudge cookies Totals: Calories: 1733 Fat: 48 Carbs: 216 Protein: 110
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
