Sorry guys.... I have a question on menustration.  I had surgery 13 months ago and everything has gone really well.  I was rarely having my period before surgery because of my weight (I assumed), once I started to lose weight it came back.  But I realized this weekend that it has been a long time since I last had one.   Did anyone else have this problem?  I'm thinking it's because my weight loss was so quick and that my body will normalize after awhile.  But now I'm beginning to wonder.  I've lost almost 170 pounds.

how old are you?  Are you within the age for it to stop? I was and mine stopped a few months after my surgery. You should keep a little notebook and jot down when you get it and how long it last so you can tell the gyn. dr. Koukla

I'm not sure if I'm in the age range for it to stop, but I don't think so, I'm 43.  Do you know what the age range is?   I'm going to call and make an appointment for a check up tomorrow.

Okay this is going to sound weird. When women are overweight for a long period of time our bodies store estrogen in our fat. So when we loose the weight we end up having alot of estrogen floating around in our bodies for awhile. This can cause us to be extremely fertile. Is their a chance that a baby be on the way? I've heard of women in their 40's getting pregnant after surgery. My doctor recomended at least two methods of birth control for 1-2 years after surgery.
