Wow this has been a crazy journey. I am really excited that today is my last day. I have been marinating chicken and steak for like two days in my fridge! I am just so proud of myself for not cheating........and for the first time in a very long time.....I HAVE NOT THOUGHT ABOUT CARBS!!! That in itself is a miracle!  Yesterday I got on the scale and hadn't lost anymore, and I was fine with that. I swore that I was not going to get weighed until my birthday (Jan 16th) but I caved in this morning.......and I was so excited to see that I was down another 3 pounds!!! That is 7 pounds I have lost doing this! I am so excited and this is a great jump start to my weight loss. I think I might actually look good on my wedding day if this keeps up!!!  Tomorrow I am going to the store and I am buying alot of veggies and pretty much all protein. I am only going to eat about 20g of carbs per day for awhile. The carbs I do eat will be all veggies and fruit NOT bread. I am not going to have any "treats" until my birthday, and then I might do the pouch test again after that.  What diet plans are you all following, by that meaning what is your plan for eating after this?

Love, KimmieP

Congratulations!!!!! I am so happy for you~its a great feeling to successfully finish the 5 days!!!! I did basically what you're talking about after the 5 days~continued to push protein, limit carbs, etc. I guess like back to basics. Then I got off track so had to do the 5 days again!!!!!! But I accomplished it and was happy once again. I did feel some restriction, but not as much as others have reported.  Good Luck and keep up the great work!!!!

Yesssssss!!!!!!! I made it to day 5 too! It's a Christmas miracle, I tell you. The best thing I did all day was pass up the treat table at work! Someone brought iced pumpkin bread and a poppyseed poundcake and I was like...  oh NO you didn't! But I calmly walked away. Me! Time to check out the window for flying pigs. I don't know if I've lost any LBs, but I was able to get my "fat pants" buttoned up today without a struggle.  Praise the Lord. I'm just weirded out by the sheer VOLUME of food I'm still able to put away. I'm a little discouraged that I was able to eat 2 bowls of chili at lunch yesterday, and a 1/4 lb beef patty plus a side salad for dinner without feeling full.  (SF pudding for dessert did the trick.)  Shouldn't my pouch be shrinking? Or do I have this all wrong?  Yesterday I also snacked a bit on some pistachios and dried apricots.  I felt like pure evil; I always get overly snacky on the weekends, and being snowed in doesn't help.  (seeing this in writing puts it into perspective a little bit, though.)

Yay we both made it! Yeah I thought for some reason that my stomach would feel alot tighter.......but then again I think mine has shrunk a little, I ate about 5 ounces of chicken breast for lunch today and I was full. All I have had since is some sf pudding. I am kinda weirded out by the fact that I really don't care if I eat anything right now. I had to force myself to eat the pudding.  I think tomorrow will be better because I am going to eat some veggies and apple slices.  I wouldn't worry too much about the volume. Just try to keep eating less and I am sure that eventually it will shrink more.
