Hello to all those who will be starting with me today on the 5dpt!  I am excited and I am determined to do this.  I woke up at 3 am this morning thinking, OMIGOD    I can't eat solid foods today.  I felt a little of the food seperation anxieties, like I did Day 2 Post Op.  Anyway, I shook it off and went back to bed.  So far so good.  I had my Soy Protein 95 from GNC and I feel good now.  I am at work, so I brought with me a can of V8,  a can of chicken broth, lowfat cottage cheese, SF jello and NF SF yogurt.  I am  working on 16oz of water now. I did 45 mins on the treadmill Sat and Sun!  I am excited.  Come on ladies let us do this!

I am on board with you!

I brought lots and lots of water to work with me plus Atkins shakes (my protein drink of choice) and some lowfat cheese for an emergency. I had a packet of emergen-C this morning too, as that helps with the carb cravings.

The weather is unusually warm here in Ilinois....so a walk tonight with my dogs is on the plan.

 Hugs-

Cindy

WOOOOHOOO!!! I started yesterday and let me tell you it wasn't as bad as I thought, just kept busy and befor I new it, it was time to go to bed. I guess my pouch is still chuggin along!! Not really feelin hungry at all. Yesterday I drank 80 oz. of water w/ sf crystal lite in it , I drank a can of tomato soup made with skim milk ( over the course of the day) and ate about 1/2 cup of sf strawberry bannanna jello. I then lifted weights for about 45 minutes and then ran/walked for 1 mile (only 17 minutes) then finished up with a few more arm weighted workouts for about 10 minutes!!!! Feelin great today, have had my first 20 oz. of water waited my 45 minutes and now am having somw campbells clam chowder w/ skim milk ( It has potatoes in it so I picked them out and through them away and delicious)!!!!! Will have another 20 oz water in about 1 hour and then maybe some sf jello as a snack before I get off of work and go to school!!! I hope everyone gets through this as great as I feel!!! Good Luck!!!! You will all do great!!!!!!!!

Hi All, I can't tell you how excited I was to find this particular forum last Friday as I am two years post surgery - down 135lbs but have deperately fallen back to old habits. Fortunately I have not regained any weight, but I don't remember the last time the scales went down -  Mountain Dew is the Devil!!! So is sugar - so when I read your post last Friday I said "this is for me - I'm on the wagon with you too! " I checked out the 5dpt site and have been on track all day - it is amazing how much JUNK I have been "popping" into my mouth without even thinking. I Really want something anything to eat not that I'm hungry because I'm not it's just I am back in the habit again. GRRRRRR I have recently been struggling emotionally with allowing myself to lose control and I am so thankful to have clicked onto this forum last week from the main board. I don't often post, but will stop by to read up on how it's going and the main board doesn't really pertain much anymore, Now I will be checking in here everyday!  So thanks - it is so great to know I am not alone and that many others who are as "far out" as I am are struggling with the same issues. Forward only- I'm almost to day two already!

Great! I am happy to hear that.  I am so glad I posted last week too.  We have about 7 people that are jumping in.  I just had my protein drink for lunch.  I am not freaking out yet.  That is a good thing.  I am excited about what we are all doing.  I am also keeping a food diary for now.  I want to track how many calories, fat, protein and carb's I am taking in.  Hang in there!
