I made the pumpkin and sausage soup and it was okay (I'm not a fan of the seasonings used in most sausage), I used turkey sausage in mine, and I pureed the soup for days 1 & 2 because it's a pretty hearty/chunky soup. The recipe on the 5dpt site makes a TON of this soup. I also made the ham & cheese soup recipe from the 5dpt website (with tofu and deviled ham), also pureed it for liquid days and to disguise the tofu. it smelled like mac & cheese and even kinda tasted like it at first, but after my first spoonful, all I could think of was that it tasted like vomit. I couldn't even finish off a 1/2 cup serving. Again, the recipe made a TON of soup, and it all got dumped down the drain as completely unpalatable for me. I'm sticking to regular cream soups (made w/water as I'm now milk intolerant) SF jello, lo-carb yogurts and protein shakes for day 2, then will move on to cottage cheese, eggs and canned meats for day 3. Despite my dissatisfaction with the 5dpt recipes, I'm going to try at least one more (black bean and lentils) for day 4/5. If it doesn't suit me I will have to be more creative.
