I was down 3 pounds this morning which of course Im really happy with. Last time I did this I had gained a couple pounds so dont get discouraged. I stayed away from canned soups and made my own, I still think the canned has to much sodium. Also the creamed are to high fat for me and the tomatoe makes me . I also drank around 100 ounces, between water, tea and crystal light. I drank 2 protein shakes each day and mix mine with water to keep the calories down, good luck with day 3, Debra

I think the weightloss is a bonus for some who do the 5 dpt, not all. The focus of the 5 days should be to get back to a restricted way fo eating, no refined carbs, and high protein.  Personally, I've modified the plan for myself because I've never seen ceam soups as part of any "diet" plan.  Plus, milk tends to make me crave more sweet stuff.  I have included soup, but lentil/barley (I would have had another bean soup if I had some). I was really full after the mug of soup I had last nite!   How are you feeling, otherwise?

I kinda got that idea that this was for cutting back on the carbs and sugar and not weight loss. oh well hopefully it works cause that is the area i needed a slap on the wriste for. so i guess i will just enjoy my protine for today. you know they really should recomen the cream soup even though i used water and not milk

Dunno about weight loss since I won't have access to my regular scale until Monday.  I did lose 2# from Day 1 to Day 2.  As others have reminded us, it's about getting back to basics and the weight loss is a bonus.  When I did it back in September, I lost 7# and once I started eating as I should again, I gained about 5# of that back.  I did get my eating in check for a while tho. I can tell that my pouch has tightened up a tad.  I ate black bean soup last night and fell pressure after about 3/4 cup.  I have exercised each of these three days and I feel very energetic; I am attending to the things that need attention instead of procratinating.  Hmmm.... I did have a scrambled egg this morning after doing a mile with Leslie Sansone and I was still hungry after eating, so I had another.  I was definitely satisfied after that one.  I plan on tuna (probably a 3 oz can) for lunch, so I'll see. Happy Day 3! J

Day 3 and so far so good.  I haven't planned my meals very well, as I just don't feel like eating eggs (although I might for dinner) and I don't feel like making tuna salad.  So far, the day has looked like this: 9:30 protein shake lots of decaf tea in between 1:30 (longer than I like to go without food, but I got stuck at work) 1/2 chili with ground turkey and beans.  I measured out 1 c of this and got VERY full by 1/2 c.  Yeah! tea 3pm Stallone Pudding (just because i was wanting chocolate) lots of decaf tea and broth Skinny Decaf Latte from DD's 6pm 2 eggs and reduced fat cheese, handful of roasted edamame I will drink more decaf tea, and I'll have a protein shake later tonight. Someone asked me today if I'd gotten skinnier.  First off, I'm not "skinny". But, I appreciated that, perhaps, someone noticed that I'm not all bloaty from the sweets I'd eaten all month long over the holidays!!  I feel very good, a bit hungrier than I was yesterday and thinking a bit more about food than yesterday. I notice that I am very uninspired about cooking and expanding my food choices. My little one was happy to eat ramen noodle soup and a peanutbutter sandwich for dinner tonight....hmmm, what can I talk the husband into eating....  But only 2 more days to go and I CAN do this!! How is everyone else's day working out for you?

Today went great!  Even at Applebee's for dinner.  I ordered the Tilapia off the Weigh****cher's menu and by the time I ate the fish, there was no way I could have eaten the rice or the broccoli.   It felt good to feel full! Tomorrow may be a challenge with a crazy schedule and a potluck later in the afternoon. I should be able to get outside for a walk since it will be 40 (two days ago, the high was 10). Take care. J
