Will be starting the 5 day pouch test on Monday 1/7
If anyone is interested in championing the 5DPT with me, I would be happy to have some encouragement. I am almost 5 years post op and this past year I have pick-up about 10lbs. I recognize that I need to do something quick. I am excited and ready to go. I will be doing my shopping this weekend and I am starting my workout routine this Saturday. I am excited!

Shhhhh60lbs!
I'm a newbie here but was a member 5 yrs ago...I'm 5 yrs out too.
Going to try to start tomorrow.
I'm excited & ready to go too!!!!!
We've done this before...let's do it again! Even tho I don't always post I check the board every day & I get so much encouragement from all of you! I've been struggling for a while now & it helps to know I'm not alone. Been searching for answers on my own with no support & depressed & frustrated like it was all in vein.
I've gotten motivated again thanx to all of you.
Question-The nutritionist said that our pouch is like a pair of jeans, once stretched out it doesn't go back. I got the impression that the surgery wouldn't work anymore. Discouraged me.

That is a good question Tanny! I am not sure. I would like to know the answer to that as well. You can do it though. We have to go back to the basics. I am exicited that you are inspired and ready to to go. Let's do this. Have you got your exercise plan thought out, because you have to exercise as well. We have to implement exercise forever into our lifestyles. If we don't burn the calories that we eat, the weight is going to pack on. Smile

Ya know, I'm at my worst at night time. I even wake up in the middle of the night a couple times & I'm like starving & have to eat. I hate it. That's one of the worst things to do to. I just can't help it.

I got the "magic legs" workout for Christmas - I am going to get it out of the box and check it out tonight. I need someone to help me stay motivated too!! That is what I come to this site for. I have been playing guitar hero with my 10 year old son for the past three nights and my arms and ribcage are sore from dancing around - so that must be some kind of exercise, and we have had a blast doing it. OK MrsB - what day are we starting - I am up for it!! Your numbers are so close to mine, my preop weight was 310, my lowest weight was 172, my current weight is 192 and im a size 14! I am 5'6" - how tall r u?
Do you want to exchange e-mail addresses to stay in touch better?
MrsB... I am 2 1/2 years out and I have put on about 25 pounds. I know it is because I snack all the time. I can't sit down and eat a meal... that is very hard for me. But to snack... no problem. I am SICK and ashamed of myself. What exactly is the 5 Day Pouch Test? I have never heard of that. Is it true that our stomachs CAN stretch out after surgery. If so... I am doomed... I was a size 24 and am now in a 12. I was down at one time to a size 10, but that didn't last long. I want to get down to a 10 or even an 8. Helps me????
