GERD surgery

Has anyone had or heard of someone having GERD surgery after having rny bypass? I have GERD and have had it for about 5 years. I have tried every medicine out there. The doctor in the ER told me to ask my gastronologist about the gerd surgery. I am afraid that it will be a risky surgery. Please can anyone help?

My mom did not have rny bypass, but she did have one of the first GERD surgery.  She did very well and does not have problems anymore.
