Just found this forum.  I am 26 months post op and have had alot happen since August.  I lost my dad, I am the executor of the estate plus had to have an emergency hysterectomy the first of November, which caused me to be down 7 weeks since I didn't heal like I should have.  I am now able to start my walking again and exercising.  The problem is I have gained 16lbs and it scares the hell out of me that it can happen so fast.  I have started back on track.  I am at 170 but I would like to be back at 155, I was as low as 149 but that was just for a few days.  I am not going to go crazy and do any fad diet.  I just need to get on track and eat smarter.  Its amazing how just not moving adds on the weight.  I really don't think my eating is out of control.  I know I haven't been drinking my water like I always did.  I have been drinking a lot of hot tea and coffee, no it wasn't decaf.   Oh well just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi Jane

Hi, Jane; You have the right idea--get your feet moving, drink your water, and watch your protein intake.  You've done it before, and you'll be very pleased at how fast you'll be able to get back on track and start losing weight again. Good luck and welcome to OH!!

Hi and welcome to our world.Yes its amazing at how fast it comes back on. I to got down to 150 which was last year at this time and this morning weighed in at 168. Today is the day that I am going to clean out all the bad foods from the holidays and restock my frig and cupboards. I am going to start the 5 day pouch test on the 2nd. If you dont know what that is go to  5dpt.com. Its a really good way to get back on track and get you to stop eating carbs and sweets. The 2 days of liquids is hard but definetly worth it, really makes you appreciate the proteins on days 3 - 5. Good luck to you, Debra
