You're in my area. I'm in Puyallup. We have support group meetings here in January, so you could get ideas from a dozen ppl on how to get stuff in that will not give you that awful rick in the gut feeling.

Thanks, Michelle. You look wonderful, by the way. I'll certainly keep the support group meetings in mind.

I had problems with meat till 2 years out, and still do at times.  The key is moist, moist.  You just have to listen to your pouch, that is the way it will always be.  stick with the meat you can eat for now, then add as you can. Its the way of the beast.....and sometimes I wonder if the nutritionists at our docs know how bypass pouches feel and think!!!! Oh well, things will get better!~ blessings, Tami

I am over 2 years out, and still cannot tolerate some meats. I can do chicken, and ham, roast pork and ground beef. but give me a pork chop or steak or even roast beef, and its a no go. Very frustrating, as I was always a meat lover.  I eat a lot of chili and beans, fish, cheese, cottage cheese, peanut butter..eggs still are a maybe,,it depends on the day, and I have to eat them very slowly. The pouch is a funny creature, no two are the same. Mine gets the hiccups when its full,,but Ill take it over the old tummy any day! Blessings Betsy

I was over two years out before I could eat chicken. Beef went down okay but not well-done. The juicier the better. I couldn't eat scrambled eggs until about six months ago and still have to be careful. I love chili - it was one of my first real foods and still is a basic.

Thanks to all of you who have answered. I feel better to know I'm not alone. Hanging in there and following the rules will make for success! Good luck to us all!
