Ipod Filler Help Please
Hello! My husband bought me a wonderful new ipod and i'm looking for some suggestions on what to fill it with to keep me inspired at the gym! What keeps you motivated, what takes you to new heights of exercising greatness? I love music but i need some suggestions, this thing holds over 20,000 songs and I think i've got a play list of 40! Thanks for your help in advance. ANDI
If you are looking for new and/or different stuff check out www.pandora.com. You enter the name of an artist or a song you like and it creates a "station" based on that. You can have as many stations as you like. I have found a ton of new artists and songs through this site.
Take care.

Oooh...I second that idea. Pandora is GREAT!
I personally listen to Chris Tomlin most days while I'm on the treadmill...which is certainly not "exercise" music...but I don't enjoy exercising...I'm home alone while I do it so I crank up the Christian music and make the work-out a worship time to God (the good little multi-tasker that I am)...just praising and worshiping Him...remembering that my body is not my own, but a temple of his Holy Spirit.
I used to think it was the beat of music that kept me motivated while exercising...now I realize it's keeping my mind on something besides the dread of exercise!! Time flies when I'm praying and singing and worshiping God for the beauty outside my window and all my loved ones.
Good luck!

I have a weird workout list---and I pretty much have it memorized. Other people would probably be bored with this, but it helps me keep up my pace. It starts with the Eagles song "Already Gone"--which is personally significant to me--then it goes on to two Santana song--Oye Como Va and Smooth--then it has a mish mash of other stuff--including Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison, Aerosmith---you get the idea :-) Sometimes I'll change it up and just listen to an artist or band--like Abba or something.
You'll LOVE having it!
Take care,
Kim
Hi I love, love, love my Ipod. I really can't work out without it.
I have a few workout playlist that are the right length for the work out.
I start out with Kid rock then make sure that right when I need to pick up the pace I have Nicklebacks- animals. I try and end with Only God Knows why by Kid Rock I also have a lot of Linkin Park.
but I like my music hard. The cool part is that you can set up a playlist to accommodate your work out.
have fun
