are you a bariatric surgery program coordinator?

I need to talk to some one in this postion asap for advice and help for a potential new job opportunity I may be offered.

dont get too excited - I am not offered a job yet, am researching for a poteintial new position being created,  dont know if I am qualified, or if it is an administrative no patient contact position I would not want it.

If they want you, then let them know where your strengths are.  Some places like Northwestern want degrees out the butt.  Now while I am sure there is a value to that I would enjoy and learn more from someone that has been there done that!!! And I so agree, you don't want to end up pushing paper either... I hope it works out for you! Take care, Kathy

Hey Cindy I didn't know that's what you did - that must be so interesting and fulfilling being able to help others and really understand what they are going through.

Ruth, I LOVE THIS JOB!!!!   I've been a RN since 1979 and spent most of the first 20 years as an ER nurse.  Back then I wouldn't have ever thought I'd be doing this today! Of course, 30 years ago I wouldn't have believed that I'd be a recovering food addict and bypass recipient, HAHA. The most amazing and rewarding part of my job is seeing the transformation that our clients undergo.  Not just the physical changes, that is very exciting, but the emotional and spiritual changes that I see.  Sunday was our monthly support group meeting for bypass patients and one lady (who has been struggling with her perceptions of how she is progressing as compared to others,) was absolutely giddy over the fact that she can wear size 8 jeans.  She strutted and showed off, it was comical and very uplifting for the group. Our program is only 3 years old and I'm blessed to have been selected to fill the position after the lady who was there from the onset left this past June. Cindy
