Full steam ahead grab that helm.  No you are doing great with the cold weather you can expect a little up cause the body is hanging on to it.  next week it is gone. Just keep on sailing cause you are always doing great. Carla

Last week ~ 169 This week ~ 168 Thank goodness it's going down again.  I was worried I was on the upward slope just like all the other times in my life pre wls.  Now I'm on vacation not sure whats' going to happen, but I'd like to keep the downward trend, ro at least maintain if I can.

Good morning ruthie.. Glad to see you are doing good.  May board is so slow I'm not sure how to pick that board up...  whoo hoo.. glad to see it moving the other way for you.. I saw your post the other day.  Are you sticking to it.. it shows with the scale moving down.  when do you head out here to the U. S. for you vacation.  Dont get lost in the shuffle.. remember it's a "life change" not just a "not when I am not to busy change."  If we loose sight of that we loose the whole point of the journey. Stay well my friend and congrats on you loss this week.. now keep it up.. you're doing great Carla

Thanks Carla I'm here in Dallas now - we arrived Friday afternoon.  We are still trying to get over jet lag - difficult when my 7 year old wakes us up at 3am asking is it time to get up yet?   hee hee.  I'm finding it difficult to eat right at the moment as we having been grocery shopping yet and are making do with hotel breakfast (carb city) and family entertaining.  I'm looking forward to hitting Walmart today and getting in some healthy protein snacks to fill up on.  I have hit the cheeto's big time (they were alwasy my downfall while living here - thank goodness I can't get hold of them in Britian!).  I can just feel the pounds piling on.  The hotel has a swimming pool and small fitness room so I'm aiming to go on the treadmill and swim to try and shift some of these carbs and calories I've been eating.  Sigh... Yes, I miss the days when the May board was so active that you felt if you didn't check in daily you would miss something.  But it's a good sign that we have all had life changes and are out there living them I guess. You are right about change.  I struggle with that as I still need all my brain energy to completely focus on eating right and if my brain is filled up or busy with other stuff the eating plans go out of the window.  It still is not automatic and instinct.  I'm sure (well I hope) that it will come eventually, but I have a feeling that it is going to be a lifelong balancing act.
