Since surgery I have had the same symptoms as restless leg syndrome except in my arms.   I was wondering if any of the far out post ops here have experienced this.   I have been researching and have found an article that said it may be an iron deficiency.  Any input you can give would be appreciated.  Thanks for all the help, not only now, but all the time on this wonderful site.   Debby

I was so glad to read your post,,not that you are suffering,,but that I am not the only one!! I am over 2 years post op, and have the "creepy crawlies" in my arms almost every night! Its horrble! I have walked the floor rubbing and shaking them for relief,,nothing seems to help. Im gonna research this iron deficiency thing!!  Blessings Betsy

Yep... deficiency in any of the B vitamins can cause the nerve problems in the extremeties.  You need a multi B vitamin.  I take sublingual Vitamin B- Complex from GNC in dropper form.

Perhaps I missed your answer but HOW are you taking B12? I took it sublingually and it did NOT work for me!!!!!!!!!!! I became deficient at 424 (normal range) but my H&H was so critical that I required two blood transfusions in ICU. 424 is NOT normal for me. What is YOUR average? I've heard more recently that WLS want to see their patients at 800 and even more at over 1000!!!!!!! Sublingual works great for some!  Not for me!  The nasal spray works great for some!  Me?  I can't go over two weeks without tingling and needing an INJECTION!!!!!!!!!!! I'd have this checked more diligently with your PCP or WLS!!!!!!!! You may need B12 in another form that what you are currently taking!  I hope this helps and that you feel better soon!

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

I am 16 months out of surgery... but I have had that before and it will drive you insane.   I know it happens in the legs but I have too had it in my arms.   Look like some kind of fool the way it makes you jerk and move.    Don't know a solution but wanted to let you know I have been there and it's not fun.
