The dang toliet seat!
I have noticed that for the last few months, my butt hurts sitting on things like the floor or hard chairs. Though my butt doesn't fall asleep sitting on the toliet seat, my legs, from the thighs down, do. It can happen just as fast as I sit down (I'm not a 'bathroom reader' sitting for long periods of time) :-) Just normal use. Anyone else have this peculiar problem? Could it be more serious nerulogically or probably just blood vessels closer to the surface now that all the fat around them is gone?
Thanks
Rachael
That has happened to me as well. I think it's just a lack of padding down there. I have actually fallen into the commode, and my butt was once 62" around, bigger than a regular tape measure can measure, so you can imagine my surprise. I have a pillow in my rocker on my front porch and it takes care of the sore butt problem. I haven't had problems with my legs going to sleep though. Are you also having problems shaving under your arms? I have a bony hole there and I cut myself every time.
I don't have the legs going to sleep problem, but a lot of folks have the tender hiney problem. Mine cleared up after several months. I think that the legs going to sleep is a result of a nerve being pressed on... Do you take B1? It is supposed to help with the neurological problem that can develop in the legs..

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
At about 8 mos. out my butt began to kill me sitting on chairs that weren't heavily padded. Same with my arms if the arm rests were thin. I'd lie on my side and my ankles and knees would rub.
Thankfully, this all lessened. But it's pretty much assumed it's b/c I don't have the fat there I once did.
