I am 6 years post op this past October.  I take B12 supplements, multivitamin and clacium daily.  My legs hurt though and I have no idea why.  Can someone help shed some light on this?  I really appreciate it.

When were your last labs? You're not taking iron? vit A or D? How much calcium and what kind?

all that said, normally if I knew someone was covered with all the vites, I'd just tell you to start magnesium citrate (pills, not grteen bottle) and that would take care of it, but with you uncovered for 6 yrs, I'd want to see what all is missing before assuming it's just mag.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

I was having leg pain for a long time and just lived with it since I thought it was due to a spinal problems but then I tried a circulation supplement product that has stopped my pain. Been taking it many years now, It's called CIRCA and you can find it at ProCapsLabs.com Just search CIRCA and you can read the description. It is also sold on HSN under the old name until inventory is gone which is "Circulation and  Vein" by the same manufacturer,  go there  and read the many reviews you can read there by nurses and workers who stand all day and get immense pain in their legs. This is a product designed just for the circulation and veins in your legs. However you do need to have your doc check your labs especially your potassium which can cause leg pain and cramps if you are low. Are you taking blood pressure meds or diruretics which cause loss of potassium.  If its just achy pain or standing pain, try the CIRCA I personally did alot of research on diosmin which is a prescribed drug for circulation pain in many countries but in US and it worked for me and I am one who can't take tylenol or pain meds due to allergic reactions. Let us know how you are doing. Gen

Dear Gen and Vitalady, Thank you for your responses.  I have not had any blood work done in quite a while.  As a matter of fact my weight loss surgeon's office is permanently closed therefore, I have not seen my wls in a long time.  I am schedluled to see my pcp on Dec. 10th.  In the meantime, I am taking tylenol and drinking lots of water.  I have noticed that I experieince the leg pain about a week before I menstruate, during the day, all day and at night when I go to bed.  Usually, my husband will massage my legs and I take tylenol to make them feel better.  With your replies, now when I see my PCP on the 10th, I will know what to tell him to look for in my blood work.  Thanks again, I will keep you posted.
