Question about gaining a bit after losing
I hear so often about losing and then bouncing back up some. Is that a given?
Does it HAVE to happen or will it happen forsure.
Makes me sniffle abit....
I am working really hard to get down so if I do go up it wont be as traumatic.
Thaniks for any insight.....
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!!!
Start Weight - 263
Current Weight 135 and making it work for ME !
Its not a given for everyone, but it does seem to happen quite a bit. For me, my lowest was 150lbs and I allow myself to bounce around in the 150's, but hope to never see 160 (or more) again. I drop back down, I bounce back up, but those are my paramiters. So far its working. Maintenance sure takes ALOT of work!!!!!!!!! Sometimes it can be overwhelming and down right exhausting!!!!!!

I am almost 3 years post op WLS and 1 year PS post op. I lost 40 lbs this year and weighed 149 this morning. Don't want to lose anymore. Stress does do strange things. I sometimes don't get in enough protein. Working on that. I never liked to use a scale but find that I do weigh in 4-5 times a week. Keeps me centered. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Yes most do bounce back. Perhaps the body is getting to the weight it feels is best? I went down low to 113, and lower and I looked skeletal. I am around 125 and sit on or below that most days now.
I have been strict from day one on mydiet and exercise and still avoid carbs and am sugar free. I struggle keeping those pounds down and dont know why, becausemy intake is low, but my clothes size has not changed. I know I have more muscle and am more toned. I have flab, and skin, but really not much noticable fat at all.
Just don't give up. You will do just fine.
