Let me Introduce Myself.....I am back! 10 weeks postpartum. 2nd day of 5dpt!!
Hiya! I was here for awhile a year or so ago. Then we were blessed with a postop pregnancy. We now have a beautiful 10 week old baby girl. I have been very active on the post op pregnancy board and now it is time for me to move back here. I am a Physician Assistant and am currently living in Germany where my hubby is stationed with the US Army.
I am 4.5 years post op RNY. My lowest/stable wt was 142, that slowly creeped back up to 158 when I got pregnant. I gained 45 pounds with this pregnancy. Mainly due to undiagnosed gestational diabetes, too many carbs and two months of bedrest! I logged my intake every single day on fitday/babyfit.com. I have lost 30 pounds so far at 10 weeks post partum. My goal is to get back to 142!!!!
I need to get rid of the carbs and really get back to the pouch rules. I started the 5 day pouch test yesterday and it went really well. Dextoxing from carbs!! Whooo hooo! Yeah, it sucks! LOL
Well, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I will be leaning on you for support and please know that you can lean on me as well.

You're smart for starting to take control so soon after baby. I waited 18 months and just decided to do the 5 day pouch diet a few minutes ago. What a coincidence! I was at goal (128 lbs) pre-pregnancy. I now weigh 165. I also don't take the time to exercise anymore. I am going to commit to exercise at least 5 days a week. Good luck.
Welcome back and congratulations on your healthy baby girl! Good luck on your weight loss, I am also working on taking off the 29lbs I gained back (not after a pregnancy though... ugh!). I did the 5dpt and it got me back in touch with my pouch and I've been doing good at keeping focused. I went to the doc's the other day and when I was weighed they said I was down 8lbs - woo hoo! I knew I had lost some but wasn't sure how much. Anyway, again welcome back!

Good luck to you as well!! I have a couple of incentives, I cant fit into ANYTHING pre preggo, ugh! And we will be seeing family in about 6 weeks time. Mainly, I just need to get back to the basics and focus on eating well.
