Don't feel "satisfied" - only hunger extremes

Does anyone else have the problem of never really feeling satisfied? I seem to be able to tell only the 2 extremes: really hungry and really full. Both are miserable feelings. I just finished the 5 day pouch test last Saturday and am kind of disappointed that it didn't take me "back to the basics" and the whole "becoming one with my pouch". Anyone have ideas as to how to either feel satisfied or how to get my pouch to talk to me and tell me what it wants/doesn't want? Thanks, Farrah

Have you tried solid proteins. Dense proteins fill the pouch, did that help? blessings, Tami

Right. Also, dense proteins PARTNERED with no sipping liquids with meals- is exactly what made the difference for me.  When I purpose to refrain from drinking ANYTHING when I eat, My pouch STILL "talks" to me. I eventually got to the point when I started SPITTING out the "last bite" - when I KNEW even ONE MORE would put me "over" the "point of full".   Very cool to LEARN how she "talks"! Since it matters to you - I'm confident you'll figure it out!!! I'm proud of you for wanting to learn the difference and controlling yourself!  Awesome! That usually refers to solid meats,  eggs, beans.  Hope this helps!   DeeAnn R

Maybe I'm just strange, but my activity level tells my body how much to let me eat.  Sometimes I can eat a lot more in a sitting than others.  I'm very active.  I work out strenuously at least 5 days a week between studio cycling and training for a marathon.  The days I run longer, I'm hungrier.  The rest days I find I don't have much of an appetite and really cannot (and don't want to) eat very much. All I can suggest is that you listen carefully to what your body is telling you.  Sometimes the messages are subtle. Linn
