Tip of the Week
I've been doing the oatmeal, cream of wheat or malto meal for a long time (microwave version with butter buds and splenda and dried fruit) for breakfast and I think it is making me hungry before I even get to work. Nevermind that I eat at 6 am...by 8 am I'm hungry again. I can stave it off till 9 am most mornings by drinking a 24 oz container of water and a coffee or something but I do have a stick of cheese or something by nine am..I've been adding protein powder to the cream of wheat but I think maybe I need an egg instead. I've been eating two breakfasts but cutting back on lunch all this weekend. I can't do the sausage, bacon or ham things at all. Too fatty and it makes me dump. Malto Meal has more protein than the other hot cereals. Not sure if I will change but I will keep the carb problem in mind this week and see what I come up with while standing in the kitchen at 6 am...

My favorite breakfast is 2/3 C cottage cheese mixed w/ 1/4 C. cream cheese mixture (2 bricks of FF Cream Cheese to 1 container of FF cool whip with some Splenda thrown in to taste...hmmm hmmm good!) and add a hand full of frozen blueberries.
Second favorite breakfast is an omlette filled with veggies from the garden with salsa on top and a dollop of FF sour cream. You are right about the eggs. My neighbor's chickens wake me up most mornings so she gives me a dozen eggs every other week to compensate LOL.
Third favorite breakfast is....whatever dinner was the night before or a hunk of turkey kielbasa eaten on the way out the door. Point is....I always eat breakfast, it is always mostly protein and I'm maintaining my weight....albeit 18 lbs from goal, but I have never gained more than 2 lbs back. Trisha
