Accountability.... what did you eat Saturday

Oh my I did not have a good day today. I have always had terrible gas... I know TMI... but today.. i was dying. I think carbs are what kills me and today they were very high. Does anyone else have this gas problem? Does it ever go away? I swear someday my family is gonna leave me over it....

So this was my ugly day..

Breakfast

Now Carla - don't start following my bad example. lol  I know we all have bads days; but isn't it GREAT that our now "bad days" are better then our previous "good days" before surgery!!! LOL  I'm starting to get my days all mixed up. I'm looking at what I ate and thinking was that just yesterday. Heeeheee, 3rd shirt disease!!  We celebrated dh's birthday as a family today so I knew numbers were going to be not so pretty. But considering that I had a sliver of cake and a 100 cal. ice cream bar  it's not too bad.  b - oatmeal w/ protein; orange juice (yikes too many carbs in that combo) l - dbl cheese burg. no bun, side salad, couple of dh's fries s - birthday cake and icecream d - oatmeal w/ protien... I know not a very good dinner... I was just too lazy to get up and cook anything and DIDNT want to go out again.  s - hot chocolate w/ protein - had this at work! Totals:  Calories: 1154 Fat: 39 Carbs: 106  (oh Good Lord have mercy on me) Protein: 87

I had all sorts of fun cleaning the house Saturday morning. So much fun I kept it up all day long. The weather was nasty and blowing so I stayed indoors all day other than shopping trip into town for stuff...

Breakfast: 1 cup Cream of Wheat, 1/4 cup raisins and coffee

Second Breakfast: 3 egg omelet with cheese and chili (no beans)

Lunch: 1 can Progresso Soup (Chickarina with meat balls) (two servings total)

Snack: 1 Trail Mix Cookie (NOT sugar free but naturally 1/4 sugar..low)

Dinner: Half a cornish game hen (roasted, no skin) and a couple bites of rice and peas.

Totals:  Calories: 1436 Fat: 59 Carbs: 128 Protein: 98 OH yes! I have problems with gas. I take Beano where ever I go and have it like before the chili omelet. It helped some with that (i had it before I started to eat and half way through too) I didn't notice much gas until the afternoon so it was probably the cookie and the soup that did it. But Beano works pretty well for me.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Maybe I need to try beno. I tell you gas is not my friend.. Good day for you and almost broke the century mark on protein.

Hey...hope I can join in! Breakfast was left over pasta salad with peanuts and chicky .25 of a cup Quaker Low Sugar PB Choc chip bar Wheat thins ( 16)  Half and apple One bite of pecan pie 1 ounce of steak bag of 100 calorie popcorn and a no sugar added rice pudding   967 calories /  97 Carbs  / 31 fat

Welcome aboard... We sail our own ships around here so set sail and sail along with us. What is your goal. trying to loose, maintain or gain. Not sure about your protein levels. does seem a bit low.. are you doing protein.

I forgot to add protien...  oops they were low that day but they seem to average around forty somthing a day. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sorry to hear you had a bad day, tomorrow should be better. As for the gas problem you are not alone, I have not found anything to completly eliminate it but I feel it is directly related to some different foods that I eat.
