How many months out do you stop loosing weight?

It depends on the person. I stopped at about 1 year because I hit goal and worked at maintaining rather than losing any more. Other people, like Amy Williams are several years out and still losing. She has worked harder at it than most. The average is probably closer to one or two years with the most weight being lost in the first six months. Losing weight is simple science. It is a matter of eating fewer calories than you expend. Gaining is the opposite -- eating more calories than you expend. Everyone has to find their own balance.

I stopped around a year out, but weighing more than I wanted to. I was stuck there! I recently lost 12 more pounds at 22 months out. I guess you never know. If I lose 5 pounds, I will be at goal. It's not as important to me as it was at first. I'm healthy and look good.

I lost 164lbs the first year, then as I approached my goal at that time things really slowed down. I continued to lose for a few more months slowly until I hit goal of 178lbs lost. They say the "window of opportunity" is 12-18mths for most. If I work my tool I am still able to lose weight now at 3yrs post op when I gain a few.
