After the 5 day pouch test

Hi everyone, Well I've completed 2 weeks of the 5 day pouch test, and I've only lost 7lbs, and that happened during the first week.  I realize this is not necessarily to loose weight, but I guess I figured I'd at least loose a few more pounds.  I've cut my calorie intake to less than 1000 calories on most days and my scale is NOT MOVING!!!  I have broken the carb cycle and have reset my pouch (it's working as it should now), but what else can I do? I'm really frustrated.  I began this process on Oct. 12th, and have only lost 7 lbs since then.  HELP !!!

What about inches,,have ya measured?  Thats usually where I can tell. I did the pouch test last week and only lost two pounds, but was thrilled that my pouch was back to normal!!! Now I can work it. Be careful going too low in the calorie range,,your body can go into starvation mode if you go under 1000 calories for any length of time. Up the protein and water,,and see what happens. Hi Betsy, Can this really be true?  Low calories and no weight loss?  Is this because I'm out of the honeymoon stage?  I know in the past when I could not eat, I was dropping the lbs.  Now, my body is holding on to the weight because of being in starvation?  I don't get it that if I increase calories then I'll begin to loose?  I'm sorry to sound so dumb, but it just doesnt add up to me.  It kind of makes sense, but...I don't know.  What about the protein train that I've seen on some boards.  Will this help the weight loss?  Or is this too drastic?

B/c of dropping your calories so low for so many days you might be in starvation mode now so you're body will fight to hold on to everything. There's such a fine line there and it seems to be so different for everyone. Trying bumping your calories back up to 1200 and see what happens. 7lbs is great and having reset your pouch is the best thing of all!! Congrats to you for sticking with it for so long!!!!!!!!!!

as said in the previous post, you are probably not eating enough.  The 5 day is only to reset your pouch not to lose weight.  Its to learn to use your pouch as it was ment to be used.  Sheila

Okay, I realize the pouch test is to reset the pouch to work that way it was designed to work.  But I've done this, so how do I begin to loose the weight again?
