OMG there is freaking candy EVERYWHERE!  We dont have children but live in a neighborhood with LOTS of them so of course I bought candy to give out. The GOOD stuff too! I LOVE candy! Funny thing is I did not even like it much before my surgery.  UGGHHHH! Just gotta get through today and tomorrow and it will ALL be gone.  Last year was so funny. It was getting later in the eveining and the traffic of kids was really slowing so I started giving them handfuls to get rid of it. I guess they went and told their pals because here somes a whole bunch of them and one says to me, I heard your giving away lots of the the good candy! LOL..it was so cute! Candy Candy everywhere!  Hugs,
Donna

Hi. LOL - you're right, Halloween is evil! I try to buy candy that I don't like or if I have some in the house that I don't want to eat (but am really tempted by), I lock it in the safe (so it's a pain to get to it) or I give it to my neighbor for safe-keeping. I hope these same things might work for you. :) -Kathy

Oh the joy of being an emptynester!  We bought bags of cheeto's for our trick or treaters and as long as the bag stays closed till tomorrow at 5 pm I will be fine!  We did bake cookies for our neighbors and delivered them last night.  But no chocolate for me!  Sheila

Candy's the easy part in my neck of the woods.  I work for a company where every department does a huge Halloween blowout.  The signup sheet for the Halloween potluck is chock full of things that should never, ever pass my lips.  But some of it will - I'll just try to keep things in moderation.  My plan for days like tomorrow is to only try new and different things - why spend calories on a plain chocolate chip cookie?  And since very few folks are really creative about what they bring, it usually works out.   Good luck to everyone avoiding the candy monster!!! On top of Halloween my birthday was October 10th.  My best friend sent me some dark chocolate nuts and chews from See's candy in San Diego (there is no See's Candy here in NC), my boyfriend got me some dark chocolate dove minitures and my folks brought me some dark chocolate from their trip to Ohio...  darn them all!  lol!  I can't give it away since it was a gift!  I was good all week since I was doing the 5-day pouch test, but I can just feel it calling my name.  I may have to have a piece every day or two (it'll last me into 2008 for sure).  Maybe I'll give most of it away to the kiddies (not my See's though.. lol!..  it's not individually wrapped - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)... lol!   Good luck to all of us!!!!!
