Good morning all , After a long vacation ( when I thought I could do this on my own and didn't need any support ) I return asking to be accepted back into the fold .  I had my gastric bypass in Dec of 04  at that time my weight was 444lbs  my low was 225lbs  today I return at a weight of 275lbs But have been reborn since Sunday when I discovered the 5 day pouch test, Along with having read 2 days worth of member posts, I understand how easy it was to return to the old way of eating,  life sort  of gets in the way and you find yourself gaining 50 lbs, but in the back of your mind you head back where it all started and reach out for help! In the past I was never a big poster more of a lurker ,but when I felt i was in trouble knew right where to head back home to the beginning which is obesity help. to all you posters thanks for being there: this time around I'll be more of a verbal member. Hello and welcome back! You will find lots of us here who have struggled with regain, myself included. I had my surgery almost 8 years ago and came back to the boards as well. We really do need the support.

Welcome Back!!! You're right~life does get busy and we sometimes get off track, but the trick is to catch it and do something about it, which is exactly what you're doing! Anyway, glad to have you back with us!

You have come to the right place.  Good luck,  I did the 5 day pouch "reset" as I like to call it.  The carb monster is at bay, planning is very important!  I hope to lose a few more pounds that I have gained back.  My total gain which I have never posted is 20lbs.  I have lost 8 so thats not so bad anymore.  I feel great!  Sheila

Hi Dragonfly. Welcome back! You know, your experience is really common and so many of us find ourselve****ting our target weight and then gaining a little back. It's hard to maintain new behaviors. I am so glad you're back so that we can help you feel good and get the support we all need. :) Warmly, Kathy
