Well from what I have heard from most people on here and on the RNY board etc its 1200-1400 as an approved range which seems right to me.  I am supposed to go to 1200 at a year and b/c of the way I exercise I would imagine the up to 1400 range is ok also (wont hit that everyday anyway).  But I find in order to get over 1000 cals with me already taking in 90-100 proteins and 30-35 grams of fat that means the carbs have to go way up and of course that scares the poop out of me.  Do you fitday?  I always have and maybe I need to loosen up a bit. I am going to start seeing a WLS therapist on Nov 1 just for well rounding out my posop experience and helping me psychologically with maintenance. I doubt she will love  how anal and strict I am with myself, heck I drive myself nuts.  But for now the scale is stuck stuck stuck, I don't know if its the body just catching up or if I am just not eating enough or too much.. 3lbs to goal and its been only down 3 for the whole month.. i can't believe it as I lost 11 the previous month with no real changes.  You have done so amazingly well Wanda, I am so proud of you and the success you have, you always have inspired me, thank you for that and thanks for your assistance with this!  Hugs!

I use sparkpeople every now and then just to see how I'm doing on calories, protein, etc., but I don't do it every day. I think as time goes on, I'll have to watch things more closely and I'll be more faithful about it. I'm going to try so hard to be diligent about keeping my weight off, but not being obsessive about it. I think it will be a fine line. I do eat carbs, but I use wheat pasta and bread, and every now and then some brown rice. So far, it's been working OK. I have found that if I cut down on calories, I will actually gain weight, which doesn't make much sense but it has happened. My plan is to not worry too much unless I get back up to 142 pounds (about a 5-pound gain), and then reevaluate things. The only problem I've had so far involved some cheese crackers that became an obsession here at work, and before I realized it, I had gained 5 pounds. As soon as I stopped, the weight came back off.

It is nice to see someone who is postop and over a year out. graduate that is not only maintaining but even losing still and isn't overly anal about their "logging" etc.. not sure I will ever get there but is is refreshing to see it and I think you are doing incredibly well.. you should be so proud and I know you are!  thanks again!  Also thanks for saying I am welcome here, I appreciate it! *hugs*
