I don't tolerate most meat very well. What other suggestions do you all have for days 3 and 4? And, those of you doing it, does it seem to make you feel better, lose weight, etc?

I had eggs and tuna alot. I also used cottage cheese on day 3~she allows it, but said it is considered by some to be a slider food so she does not list it. I felt alot better after doing it~the carb bloat was gone and yes I did lose a few pounds although that wasn't really why I was trying it~I wanted to see if my pouch would feel more restricted again which it did.

Tracy - that's exactly what this is doing for me. The carb bloat is gone, my clothes fit better. I too lost a couple of pounds but for me it was getting cleaned out from carbs/sugar!! My pouch is definately feeling more restricted - which is awesome!!!!

* tofu * beans * fish: tilapia, flounder, cod, tuna * eggs: egg salad, deviled eggs * protein shakes (num num num) today is day 2 and truth be told I feel like monkey poop mixed with spit. My head is splitting and i've been crying on and off. I do however feel that my belly has gone down, i'm not sure if this is true or not as I vowed not to weigh myself (probably why i'm crying) but i've been doing my best and really i can't do more then that. Andi-your head maybe splitting because of withdraw, try 2-3 orange slices, that has worked for me and beleive it or not, a warm cloth on your forehead instead of cold. Dont beat yourself up over this, as long as you are working at it and watching what you are eating, you are doing great!!

thanks so much for your wonderful words of encouragment. I came to realzie that the week you are getting your period is NOT the week to start the 5 day pouch test....live and learn. I am definitely more in control and full faster and i'll take that. The protein shakes are a good addition when things are crazy and i feel out of control eating wise. ANDI

It's just like when I'd go on atkins.....the first couple of days were the hardest.  I hope you feel better soon. Scott

yeah, i feel alot more "normal" today and I can definitely eat less then when i started, interesting how that happens! I think i'm going to keep the protein drinks going for a little while longer as they keep me full and energized for a long time.  I haven't weighed myself so i need to find out if i've lost anything (no need to suffer if it doesn't produce results!). Thanks for your words of encouragement. ANDI

I did tuna too, and protein hot chocolate and shakes,,egg salad,,cottage cheese,,cream soups and pudding. I lost 2 pounds,, and the cravings,,and I can definately feel restriction, but the best thing was,,now I am sensitive to sugar again!! Wonder how that happened,,but I ate a few bites tonight,,and was immediately dumping!! WOOHOO! I was soooo glad. Im gonna do it again in a few weeks,,right before the holidays. Right now a small amount of food satisfies me again and Im so glad for that. I feel great,,energized again and no appetite to mention either. It works. Blessings Betsy
