I Keep Failing 5DPT!
I want to say GOOD FOR YOU!!!! You aren't giving up. Keep trying!!!! You'll get there!!! Day one was hard. There's no doubt about that. I kept myself very busy!! Drank protein drink and ate sf pudding. Today is my day two and I've had 2 protein drinks, 1 sf pudding cup, and some cream of chicken soup. Now I'm pretty good, I'll have another protein drink later tonight - that and a lot of water!!!
Keep busy, keep AWAY from where the food is!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
I am on day 2 of the pouch test. I just didn't know mushroom soup tasted sooooo good.
am I desperate or WHAT??? I never dreamed I could have made it this far. Lookin forward to eggs tomorrow
I get the head hunger, and the wanna chew on something. I have had cream of chicken soup, mushroom soup, pudding, coffee, two protein drinks, and water. Got one more protein drink to go, and some water. Sounds like some of you are WINNING with all odds against you.

Hello. Today is my day 2 and almost over. I too questioned the cream soups but have been eating them yesterday and today. But I agree the main thing is the mind set. I never dreamed I could sit across from fresh popcorn for 6 hours and not have even a kernel. Together we can get back in control and win this ongoing battle of weight. Then my goal is to learn to keep it off!! Sheila
Welp, I didn'y make it through day 1 almost but the evening got me. of course i rationalize like how come you can have high protein soup, but not solid protein and spiraled down hill from there. ! Ugh!

Hi Mel Kept meaning to come back here.
I failed many times at this. I was so hungry that I just couldn't do it. This last time I last 3 days and it helped me so much. For me I was getting hungry in the morning and around 5:00 at night.
So I started the day with a good protein drink. I first tried the mocha drink on the plan. It was too bland for me. But it did make me feel full. So I adapted and adjusted. I now make a protein drink with 2 cups of coffee- decafe, splash of cream, splenda, 2 scoops of vanilla protein, a dash of flaxseed, and sometimes I add other flavoring if I feel up to it. Then add ice. It makes 1 and 1/2 xlarge dunkin cups and I drink that on the way to work.
From there I tried to make it through the day on plain soups. My favorite was Campbell's french onion. For dinner on Day 2 I added cheese melted in. I am also back to drinking water. Lots of water. With the water I find that I need a particular container or believe it or not I fail. Pre-suregery I had this orange bottle that I loved. Post surgery I live by the Poland Springs pt bottle with the squirt top. I just refill all day long. Anything bigger or smaller and I just don't keep it up.
After finishing up the three days I found that I am now back on pace with eating the way I should.

Keep trying - do not give up. Once you've made it past day one, you cannot mess up day two because you don't want to do day 1 over again! Then you get to eat more foods every day.
This is my week after the pouch test. I am still following the rules, but eating pretty much normally. It is AMAZING!!! My pouch still works.....
Please keep trying. It will be worth it!
