I need so badly to get back in control, the problem is i have restarted the 5 day pouch test at least 3 times. I can't seem to make it through even day 1 of all liquids! WAHHHH! How did you guys do it? Any words of wisdom???? So far today i have had 4 cups decaf coffee, 1 protein drink and 1 high protein yogurt( my nut counts yogurt as a fluid). If i can just get through 1 day of liquids I will be elated! Time to callout for God's help and any advice you guys have to offer. Thanks, MElinda

Hi Melinda: It is very hard to stay on liquids for me, I am under sheer determination.  I can make it fine throughout the morning hours because all I ever have is a protein drink and sf decaf coffee.  Yesterday for lunch, I had a bowl of chicken broth and a sf pudding and did okay.  Later in the afternoon I had a protein shake and lots of decaf splenda tea.  For dinner last night, I had a protein shake, another bowl of broth and a sf pudding.  I finished the evening off with a protein shake and lots and lots of liquid throughout the day.  I hope this helps you.  I am down two pounds today.  So far, so good this AM.  Chat with you later. Tess, it does help. Just knowing that others struggle helps. I had wedding soup broth for lunch. But honestly I have not been hungry yet.

Have you tried making any of the soups that are okay for Days 1 & 2?  There's Ham & Cheese, Low Carb Pumpkin & Sausage and Ham & Split Pea:  so definitely a bit more filling than just liquid and according to the web site specifically put there to help get you through the first two days of liquids only.

No Traci, I haven't tried those. It seems odd that you can have these solids in the soup, but nothing else that is a protein solid. It seems it would defeat the purpose of decreasing the pouch. has anyone else use these and had success? Thanks

I've never personally done this pouch test - so don't have personal experience one way or another.  But I know a few folks have and used the soups and still were successful.  According to the site, they are "legal" and there to help you through, so if they say it's okay, then it's okay.   Worth a shot.

Hi Melinda, I think you need to up the protein drinks,   I have about 4 a day.  I really think the extra protein helps with the cravings.   I only use NECTAR protein, it only has about 90 calories and tastes great.  I use the Cream of Chicken soup for lunch and then after a SF Pudding.     Last night I had a Protein drink for dinner and then at late I was craving something sweet, I then had the SF pudding. Hang in there you can do it.
