hair loss--does it grow back and when
my hair didn't start falling out until about 6 months post-op and is still falling out quite a bit. While I'd much rather be skinny and bold than fat with a head full of hair, I was just wondering when can I expect for the hairloss to stop and will the hair eventually grow back.
i'm 5'4; 139lbs and still have about 24lbs I'd like to loose so i'm trying to stay under 1200cal/day
My hair grew back fuller, thicker, and curlier. It took a while. I cut my shoulder length hair shorter and did not bru**** alot. I used my fingers to style it and gave my scale a daily massage to bring blood to the scalp. I use good products and still keep it short. I am 34 months post op and have lost 177 lbs. Continued success on your journey.
I lost ALOT of hair at about 4-6mthsout and and then it started to grow back in pretty nicely. I then went thru a 2nd round of hairloss, don't know why, around 18mths out. Its doing pretty well right now though. It will grown back~sometimes comes in a different, but generally grows back. I had alot of hair to begin with so it wasn't really noticeable to anyone except me. Good Luck and Congrats on your weightloss~sounds like you're doing very well!!!!!!!

I had a bit of hair loss about 6 months post op and then again just after a year out (I'm 14 months right now). It's still really REALLY thin...I'm hoping you're right about it growing back but I'm afraid it will all grow back grey...I'm 49 and probably should get over not having brown hair from now on but I can't help it. It's probaby the one single thing I miss the most...So I'm going to sneak over to my daughter's house and touch up the temples and see if that helps my mood. I'm sure hubby won't notice the dye job...He's oblivious but thinks I shouldn't dye my hair (what the heck does he know anyway?)
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

what is it with dh that don't want their wives to die their hair?? My SIL went through that with her dh (course he didn't want her to wear makeup or lipstick either). When she got in her upper 30's she went out and got the hair dye that is not permanent and washes out. It costs more but she's done it all these years and because theres not "roots" dh is clueless!!! lol
I agree with the old farmers saying:
If you seen a barn that faded - ya paint it!!!!
Works for me too, although right now I'm getting away with just highlighting my hair to kind of hide the gray.
