Lyneshia, If you Google "5-day pouch test" the first two links that come up will explain it. The "timeout" program has several variations (there were a lot of "grads" doing versions of it this summer), but like the 5-day pouch deal, it is a "back to basics" process that is intended to help us "withdraw" from bad carbs, bad portion control, and mindless eating/drinking. I don't have any immediate links to it, so hopefully someone else will answer your post and give you more specifics. Most of the versions were somewhat similar to the 5-day pouch thing but I think this approach lasted more like 2-3 wks. There were various ways people did it to fit their situations.
As far as measuring your pouch, there's a "cottage cheese" test, but I've read a lot of criticism that it really isn't very accurate. Again, I don't have a specific link, but it involves eating as much cottage cheese as you can comfortably eat in a very short time. If you started w/ a full container and then fill the space in the container w/ water, you can tell how much is gone (i.e., 1 c., 3/4 c., 1.5 c., etc.). I'm not explaining it very well, but this is the basic idea. Heck, maybe you can Google this too; I didn't try.
Hope this helps a little.
Always,
Jo
Ok guys I am going to do this time out thing!!!! Back to the basic, whatever you call it. Please Please Please support me through this!!! I am chilling my protein shake at this time. I am drinking my broth, had my coffee, have to buy some decaf coffee, sugar free jello, and pudding. Oh I want this to work for me so badly. I am working real hard to get my pic up. I have filled out some of my profile. Can't wait for you all to see my little Shis Tzu pic. Have a good day
