Something strange happened to me on my way through my Wednesday. I ate, good, well.... what I thought was good. I got home and logged it on fit day and YIKES - carbs all over the place. The only one I regret is the banana, good grief 109 cals and 28 carbs with 1 protein!! And to top it off, it made me sick!!! gggrrr  Note to Laurie: No more bananas (this is my second and last warning, I won't get to three strikes) lol  b - oatmeal w/ protein  s - string cheese l - turkey & cheese wrap, sf pudding cup s - banana s - 1/2 no sugar added ice cream sandwich (WoooHooo, didn't want the rest [what an incredible feeling] so gave the rest to dh d - noodleless lasagna s - protein drink  Calories:  1218 Fat:  34 Carbs: 111 Protein: 122 Thank you Jesus - tomorrow Thursday and then.... and then... it's FRIDAY!!! Oh, I'm soooo looking forward to this weekend!!!!!!

I cant believe how many carbs are in bananas. I used to eat them too until I logged them... omgosh. they are high in cals and carbs. I could eat 3 peaches.. big ones for one tiny banana... that is so sad isnt it. love your totals.. you did really well..

and yes I took a page from your book on lunch. I brought a can of chicken with me and decided I didnt want to park in the heart of downtown los angeles to eat it. I'm sure u can understand why. So I choice to just eat my protein balls and get the heck out of dodge. I need to find something I can eat while I drive so I will be giving that some thought. Tomorrow I will be able to sit and eat so I dont have to worry as I am lecturing all day.. yeah... I never really get lunch cause they always want to talk to you.. Maybe I will hide in the employees lounge so I can have some quiet. lol..

see ya tomorrow

Hi, I can't seem to find the right place on here to just start a topic of my own or say what I need to with out repling to someone else's message.   What am I doing wrong???  Anyway  I have a protein question.     where and what kind of protein are some of you using.  I have been buying the EAS, with 17 gr. of proteion, chocolate fudge.  I buy four for about 5 $.   So I thought I would look for something cheaper.  I looked at the Soy in the Eas, at Walmart. . The container is smaller than it used to be, it was almost 9 $.  Don't remember the servings, but not all that many, maybe 14 or so.  So I went to GNC.  I ended up buying a one # container of GNC Soy protein that has 15 servings, I pd.16.99 and it has 15 servings.  Only thing good about it is UNFLAVORED.  Where can I buy the unflovered cheaper?   I have decided to go back to my old faithful, the EAS ADVENT EDGE.  with 17 gr. of protein per 11 oz. serving.   I get it in the Choco fudge.  I love it. It is just as cheap as what I bought.   Suggestions are VERY welcome here.   Thank you Hope this isn't too confusing. Have a wonderful, blessed day. Tena

Tena protein is so wide of a topic as we all have our favorites and dislikes. I use Isopure rich chocolate powder. one scoop is about 22 grams of protein. I dont count every serving and dont remember how much is in the container. I can tell you that GNC sells it but it is really expensive there. I found a little place around the corner from me that sells a 7 pound tub for $60.00 while GNC sells a 3.5 pound tube for the same amount. I know that the tube last me three months. I drink one shake a day and make a billion protein balls for me and my MIL.

I think it's a good buy. For you I thik you should find what you like than look for an out of the way vitamin store and see if its cheaper there.. thats what I did and I am very happy with what I pay for mine.

I hope this helps.

Good luck

I drive alot in the car. Got a cooler that plugs into my lighter from walmart.  I carry my protein drink, water, beef jerky, cheese, protein bars, and usually some snack sizes of mandarin oranges.  It saves me all the time, because I am still a small nibbler.  Don't like the big meals. Perhaps this will help you with lunches. I used to like those bananas with peanut butter on them , but I agree with all the carbs! Blessings, Tami

I've been thinking about getting one of those Ice chest. I have one that has coolers in the side and you freeze it at night. It's ok but can be a little small on days I know I am gonna be out all day and need to bring lots to drink as well as eat. Maybe I will look into that.. and cheese is a good idea for a quick type lunch if I add a peach or something to it..

thanks for the input.. i think that will work.
