Something has happened here

Something has happened since I've been here. It's been a while, but I have to say that this site has changed dramatically from what it was even a year ago. There was a lot of back-biting, a lot of arguing and the site was really run by a few "generous" posters. What happened? Needless to say, I like it here a lot more than before. I'm glad I kept it on my favs. I went to another bariatric website after leaving here and now that has changed to a lot of newbies recently. The older members don't seem to post as often. Not that there is anything wrong with someone who has just had this surgery, but for me, 4 years out, I needed a forum with people who were at the same place (whatever that means) as me. So, I will continue to check in here. I get a lot more help my issues here. Thanks to VitaLady, who I know has been here for some time. It's nice to be back. Marilyn

We're glad to have you back Marilyn!!! I've been here for awhile, but have always found it helpful to check in daily. I try to stay positive and follow the old rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all". We are all here with a common purpose and goal and I have gained so much knowledge and have encountered so much kindness here that it would be really  hard for me to leave!!!!!!

It seems like the attitude is cyclical. Every once in a while an uproar goes on. I'm always on the outside, usually pretty clueless about the specifics but feeling the tension in general. I have yet to find a different web site that I find more helpful.
