I'm only 9.5months out but hanging out with all you guys and asking questions from those much further along gives me a huge insentive to step it up and actually reach personal goal weight by my 1 year surgiversary (Dec21). At this point, I can officially consider myself a full fledge member of WLS gradutes. I hope you guys don't mind having me here as an "apprentice" or an 'intern" in the meantime:)

I feel pretty much the same way and I'm just 15 months out...I don't think of myself as all that experienced and need the insights of people further along than I am...Until I've been maintaining a weight for years, I'm an apprentice just the same. So, nope, I don't mind at all...But then, I'm an apprentice too.  It's a journey and it's not over until it's over....In my little mind, that is.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240
Now: 125.6
Goal: 130

I'm almost 3yrs out and I'm still an apprentice too! I love talking to those 5, 6, 7.....yrs out! For me, I don't think the journey will ever be over. Things are always changing and I like to stay on top of the current tends of wls to try and stay ahead of the curve. Welcome and Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...  I'm 5 years out and I still feel I'm the new kid on the block, I don't think we ever know everything.  I definately don't know everything and I learn stuff from you "apprentices" all the time...  So you're definately welcome and my thanks go out to you; new, old, in training, apprentice or expert; we're all in this together!!!!!!!!!!!

You're welcome, keep us posted on your journey.  I like learning as much as possible even this far out, there is always something I don't know and/or can do better.   Best of luck to you, keep in touch and just keep a positive attitude, you'll be surprized where it takes you!
