This post really helps me to stay on track!  I went jobhunting today.  No luck yet. 0730 B:  dutch chocolate protein in nf milk        small banana 1030: Snack:  2 slices of muenster cheese, 1400: Lunch:  Albacore tuna w/red onion, bread & butter pickles and mayo 1600: Snack:  small apple 1900: Dinner:  3 oz tritip steak w/A-1 sauce, small romaine salad with 1/4 tomato, 1/8 avocado, 1 T diced red onion, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing 2200: Snack: two SB peanut butter bars 2300:  small apple See ya tomorrow!

Kind of late on the snacking i see. I fight every night not to snack myself. Have you tried using sparkpeople or fitday to track the calories and stuf so you know what you are eating each day.

Not sure what your totals are. seems like you did well on protein. How many calories was the peanut butter bars.

I don't consider the late night SB bar or two as a snack, rather as one of my meals.  I've ALWAYS enjoyed a bite when I go to bed and read before going to sleep, so the SB bars give the me taste and crunch without the horrible side effects like the one-pound bags of M&Ms used to do!  All things considered, they are not a bad trade-off!

Wow Dede.. you are right.. very low.. I do the same thing if I get to busy. It really shows that we arent really hungry like we think but that our heads control our hunger. If I am not thinking about food I wouldnt eat at all I think.

Hopefully you will have a better day of eating. Glad your painting is done and you can enjoy the spoils of your labor.

We had a great time at our picnic, however I'm sure paying for it today!!!! There wasn't hardly anything for me to eat. I brought protein bars... they melted into a huge mess in my car. I'm not even going to try to remember what all I ate, but I know it was carbs!!!! Pretzels on and off, some doritos, some cookies, a cheeseburger off the grill... anyway today I'm soooo bloated and in so much pain. This morning I was up 5 pounds on my scales (YIKES). Needless to say I can't really eat today. I tried my oatmeal for breakfast and it sat like a ROCK - so lunch is just a protein drink and now I'm going to take a nap!!  I did however, drink about 130 oz of water yesterday (out in the hot sun)!!!  HUGS - someone squeeze hard enough to let the "air" out of this baloon.  Big Hug

I actualy went to an OH event like that one time.. other than a melon everything was fried or full of carbs. go figure. Makes it hard to follow the rules.. You will back on track today and I am sure that pesky 5 pounds will dispear soon after...

Not sure the calorie/fat/carb/protein counter is right on this at all but here goes: 1 protein bar (pre breakfast) 1 restaurant (3 egg) omelet (green chili and swiss) Heathly Choice Cafe Steamers, Chicken Margerrita Toppings off 1 slice of pepperoni pizza 1 cup salad greens w/ranch dressing (about 2 Tbsp) 2/3 cup spaghetti noodles w/ 1/2 cup meat sauce.  3 sf cookies before bed Calories 1914 Fat 160 Carbs 152 Protein 90 If it's any consolation, I went walking for three hours at the flea market today...Maybe that will count for something.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
