I read your reflections, and even though I'm not nearly as far along as you are (about 14 months), I can relate to everything you said! I went to visit a friend at the hospital last night that just had RNY. He was drinking with his baby food. I said "you're not supposed to do that." And he said it didn't matter. My grandson was chewing on a cookie and he said he was going to beat one of those up and eat it, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did it. Some people just don't understand that you have to make changes or the surgery won't work. And that thing about relationships changing - I was disappointed about that, but it's really true. I think people felt more comfortable when I was the fat lady. I'm glad you've been so successful. It helps somebody like me see that happen!

Val I wanted to wish you a "happy anniversary". Thanks for sharing your blog with us, its very informative to read someone else's journey and when you think back how much we have all gone through, I still say its worth every bit of it to be "healthy and happy".
