What are the total calories a day for the plateau diet?

I am thinking about doing the plateau diet and was wondering about how many calories that is a day. I know everyones protein supplement is differant but I think most are around 90 - 115 calories. Mine is 113 for 8 ounces mixed with water. I am 18 months out and have started to put on some weight ( 8 pounds ). I guess I wasnt prepared to be able to eat so much more and hungry more often. I thought once your "pouch" was made it would stay that same size, does it stretch or what happens that you can eat more.?? I wish I could go back to the "honeymoon stage".  Any advise would be great. I see my surgeon tomarrow for my 18 month check up and Im scared to death to get weighed. Hopefully they will have some insight on what I should do, Ive lost 100 pounds and dont want to find it again. Thanks Debra

Here is the plateau buster diet from my profile. I wasn't tracking calories at the time. I know my protein supp. has 24 grams of protein and I think 160 calories.  Most people start to eat more about 18 months or so. Dont worry - you're "NORMAL" lol  The fear of putting weight back on is very very common as well.  If I were you this is what I'd do. I'd weigh every day and chart it. I did this from the beginning and it helped me to learn the natural flux in weight that my body has. I would also log everything you eat into fitday.com or something like that. It's amazing what you can learn when you do that. I personally learned that I "thought" I was eatting 1500 cals per day but I wasnt. I was eatting more like 1200. But I also learned how I take in too many carbs!!!!! This helps me control what I eat. If I eat a baked potato today, I can adjust what I eat tomorrow to compensate for eatting it.  I also drink much more then I did before. I will drink when I "think" i'm hungry. Most of the time, I'm really thristy and not hungry. Try different things and see what works for you.  HUGS Plateau Buster

Thanks for the great info. I did see my Dr today and my scale must be off because I had only gained 5 pounds, not the 8 my scale showed ,so I was happy about that. The dietician said no to the plateau diet, she said if I would just go back to the basics of protein and vegetables and no other carbs, like breads, or potatoes, that would be better. Otherwise when you start adding carbs after the 10 days your just going to gain again. Anyway I will take her advise and see what happens. Thanks again, Deb
