Cardiology Update, Thanks for Support
Hi all,
Thanks for the support from my post yesterday. Things went well at the cardiologist. I still have to have a stress test and echo of my heart but he expects to find nothing. I am back in the gym, just keeping my intensity a little lower until all test are done. I am soooo happy to be back to my exercise! Thanks for the kind words yesterday!

Hi Kellie,
Thanks for the suggestion. I do use a monitor and that is what led me to my Pcp. I could not keep my heart rate down on the elliptical machine and it concerned me. It hovers around 160 and when I do interval training on this machine it jumps to 176. I spoke to the cardiologist about this and he explained to me that some people, and it would appear that I may be one, just have a higher exercising heart rate during certain activity. He was not at all concerned but ordered the test just to make sure due to my family history. Since I started my program a few months ago my resting heart rate has gone from 80 to 64 and he was thrilled to hear that! I am so happy to be back at it. I never thought I would be an exercise junkie but I am and I really miss it when I can not go.
Thanks again and have a great weekend!

WoooooooooHooooooooo!! So glad to hear that the "early report" is a good one. I know that "things" can show up later, but I usually have a pretty good feeling about a doctor's first report. I am glad that he is covering all the bases since you do have "history", but it sounds like you will get a great report. Congrats on the FAB Resting Heart Rate btw.
Hugs, Piggy
