Not the Same Dawn

"I'm not the same" is my signature because I'm not the same person I was before surgery. I'm 14 months out. I had my surgery on July 11, 2006 and looking to maintain what I've gotten so far.   I haven't kept  track of carbs or fats but concentrate more on proteins and fiber. I was told to get my protein first, fiber second (meaning veggies and fruit). I'm willing to learn on that. I generally react badly to high fat (like sausage, bacon, ham) and bad carbs (white bread, pasta, rice) anyway so I stay away from them. I can eat some bready stuff (like potatoes, sf cookies and sf pound cake) so long as I don't eat more than a piece or two in a day. And I react very badly to sugars so I stay away from high sugar fruit in large amounts too.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I get the max allowed.. 600 mg every 6 weeks. I have heard some go every 4 weeks.. But the difference is night and day. I have no aches or pains from my arthristsis nor do I have a drop of psoriasis on me. That to me makes it all worth while. When I went that 12 weeks without it I immediately saw it coming back on my scalp, elbows and knees.. I am so glad I got it back cause its all gone again.

I just love chocolate and my plan includes it 4 times a day.. now that is so sad... lol.. but I LOVE CHOCOLATE. someone told me I could put my chocolate protein powder in my oatmeal and I am actually thinking of trying it..lol...

Protein is down for you but and carbs are up.. let see I'm not sure how u got it that way. maybe the Lasagna. No muffin again... are you ok... do I need to check you for a temp...lol.. we are such creatures of habit.

Doesnt look like you ate a whole lot either and cals are down. go drink another protein drink.. that outta do it..

Have a great one..

Carla
